Sunday, September 29th 2013, a second day of high winds and heavy rain knocked out the power to areas of Portland for the second day in a row. I spent a few rainy hours walking the Sulivan's Gultch neighborhood exploring the boundaries of the black out. I found Fire and EMS personnel at the Holiday Park Plaza, Swift light entirely by candle light, Thai Pod the only open business with power, and generally empty streets with the occasional cautious driver.

Amber and her Grandmother Marge install some 50,000 christmas lights on their house on Taunton rd in Medford NJ. The official Christmas house lighting will be at 8:30 pm on Thanksgiving day. You can see the lighting from St. Peter's Episcopal Church as their home is across the street.
